At Le Méridien, room keys open more than just doors. Le Méridien offers compliementary access to galleries and institutions for the culturally curious traveller.
Through the Unlock Art™ programme, Le Méridien has established unique partnerships to provide guests with access to contemporary cultural centres around the world, “unlocking” a local cultural experience to offer guests inspiring discoveries, simply by presenting their room key.
National Gallery Singapore
From now to 31 December 2017, upon the presentation of the guest’s room keycard, guests at Le Méridien Singapore, Sentosa will get to enjoy free general admission to National Gallery - Singapore’s new visual arts institution which oversees the largest public collection of modern art in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Located at two of Singapore’s national monument buildings – the former Supreme Court and City Hall have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting venue in the heart of the Civic District.
Steeped in rich history, these adjoining buildings are landmarks of Singapore’s colonial past, as the arts institution brings us on a journey of discovery through modern art. Reflecting Singapore’s unique heritage and geographical location, the Gallery features Singapore and Southeast Asian art in its long-term and special exhibitions. It will also work with leading museums worldwide to co-present Southeast Asian art in a wider context, positioning Singapore as a regional and international hub for the visual arts.
In 2016, the Gallery won the awards for “Best Attraction Experience”, “Breakthrough Contribution to Tourism” and “Best Customer Service (Attractions)” at the prestigious Singapore Tourism Awards for its role in adding to the vibrancy of Singapore’s tourism landscape.
